Ricardo joined the team back in 2005 when he moved from Houston, TX, having worked both in an integrative medical clinic as well as in private practice. He still travels regularly to Houston and maintains an active practice there as well as here in GA. With his expertise in nutrition, herbal medicine and homeopathy, Ricardo is passionate about helping people find the root causes of their imbalances. He carefully uses that knowledge to help people direct their own unique path to greater health, for once the cause is understood, a clear plan can be outlined. In fact, this is the very reason that most individuals seek him out: for his expertise in finding innovative solutions to complex, chronic illnesses that they have simply not been able to find elsewhere. Ricardo shares a diverse educational background. He is board-certified through the American Naturopathic Certification Board (, holds a degree in Engineering from the Universidad Tecnologica Vicente Perez Rosales from his country of birth in Chile, and is currently pursuing studies in dietetics and eventually biochemistry to further advance his knowledge and expertise.

Ricardo stays active in the Gainesville community and finds great reward in educating others on responsible self-care and disease prevention. He hosts a weekly radio show devoted to natural health on WCBX 89.1 (Brenau University), and offers lectures and classes on a variety of natural health topics like metabolism, hormones, digestion, allergies, and natural medicine. As an avid tennis player, sports enthusiast, and musician, Ricardo enjoys various other interests as well. He lives in North Georgia with his wife Susan, their dog Daisy, his red-tailed hawk named Scout (and a few chickens too!), all together enjoying exciting ways to live, eat and relax in good health!
