When nature forces you to go inward, do you follow?

January and February are two very important months that just by their nature force you to go inward. The cold drives you indoors, this should also be a time for introspection. Use this time to reset and set obtainable goals for the year. I have found that the human body will tend to crave the downtime in the winter months, be easy on yourself if you find yourself getting ready for bed and cozying up by 8:30pm or earlier. It’s natural for your body to want to renew after the sun has set, so get the pjs out while you can because the days are already beginning to become longer.

If you find yourself getting up earlier, use this time wisely, it’s sacred time. This is the time of day to set the path for your physical and mental health. Enjoy your coffee or tea with your favorite self-help book, do a guided meditation and set your priorities for the day. This time is yours and more than likely you can go undisturbed at this time of day. Doesn’t that sound nice?

I have been using this time to recenter and connect with my higher self, God, wisdom that resides within. I find that when I slow down to listen, I get real world solutions relative to my ideas, personal dilemmas or just some loving guidance. I am working on some amazing ideas now to access more folks who seek to find a path to living a healthier lifestyle.
